He proposed on May 12, 2023, at our home. It was my birthday. After opening gifts, he set down a Rummele's bag and let me open it. I thought it was earrings until I opened it. After seeing the ring, it didn't register until he got on one knee. He asked in front of my children, we all cried.
He gave me his mother's original wedding ring, it is 50 years old.
